Sustainability means managing the earth's resources in the interests of future generations and affects all areas of our lives and economies - and is thus a task for society as a whole. Accordingly, RWTH Aachen University, as a large technical university, is also committed to sustainable development in the sense of the German sustainability strategy.

Therefore, in September, three so-called "GreenTeams" will start at RWTH in the subject areas of teaching - research - operations, in order to continuously integrate your ideas and knowledge into the sustainability process. The GreenTeams are led by the three Rectorate representatives for sustainability.

The GreenTeam on the topic "Research" has been taken over by Prof. Kathrin Greiff (Chair of Anthropogenic Material Cycles, ANTS).

Participation in the individual GreenTeams is open to all members of the university - all interested parties are cordially invited!

Here are the dates for the first meetings:

  • GreenTeam Teaching: Wednesday, September 29, 2021, 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.
  • GreenTeam Operations: Thursday, September 30, 2021, 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
