Exploring outer space - particularly our nearest celestial neighbor, the moon - has fascinated mankind for decades. But unlike the times of the Apollo era, this time it's about staying and building a settlement on the moon. Building a building on the moon is no longer just a vision, but a current topic at RWTH. But what does it take to build a settlement on the moon? Exactly: raw materials and special know-how!
In short lectures, the concept of the "Moon Factory" will be presented, which deals with how raw materials on the moon can be extracted, further processed and used. One of the speakers is Alexandra Radl, senior engineer at the Institute for Advanced Mining Technologies.
