Study sustainably? That's possible!
The issues of sustainable development and climate change are becoming increasingly important in the face of growing problems. Extreme weather events such as hurricanes, droughts and floods are already having an impact on all regions of the world. The demand for the earth's resources is increasing as in no previous age - and this despite the fact that most of them are only available in limited quantities. Sustainability means managing resources with future generations in mind - and is thus a task for society as a whole.
The study programs Sustainable Resources and Energy Supply (B. Sc.), Mineral Resources Engineering (M. Sc.) and Sustainable Energy Supply (M. Sc.) at RWTH Aachen University deal with the sustainable provision of energy sources on the one hand and the environmentally compatible extraction and utilization of the necessary mineral resources on the other.
