The European Nuclear Engineering Network, ENEN for short, was launched in 2003 within the 5th Framework Program of the European Commission with the objective of preserving knowledge and expertise in the field of nuclear engineering.

The objectives of ENEN are realized through collaborations between universities, research institutions, regulatory authorities, industrial companies and other organizations active in the application of nuclear technology or ionizing radiation.

The goals of the network include

  • the securing of qualified junior staff in the field of nuclear technology
  • the promotion and further deepening of the cooperation in nuclear education of students, scientists and professionals as well as
  • the harmonization of European M.Sc. curricula and the promotion of dissertations.

To realize these goals, ENEN develops, promotes and supports exchange courses as well as national courses and degree programs. NET has been an active member of ENEN since 2011.
