Award of the DGAW Science Prize to Nils Kroell
On 17 and 18 March, the 11th DGAW Science Congress "Waste and Resource Management" took place in Dresden. The ANTS and its staff were represented with posters on Circular Economy in the building sector and on biowaste treatment. The presentation "Sensor-based prediction of grain size distributions by machine learning models based on 3D laser triangulation measurements" by our staff member Nils Kroell was awarded the DGAW Science Prize (1st place in the presentation category).
Melanie Brune from ANTS won 5th place in the poster category with her poster "Material flow management in a biowaste treatment plant with cascade utilisation". We warmly congratulate Kirsten Stark from the neighbouring institute TEER, who won 6th place in the poster category with her poster "Decentralised sewage sludge incineration in a vortex incinerator: preliminary tests on heavy metal separation by additivation".
