It's raining prizes!
Corona retroactively for the year 2020, Carolina Sabarny from the Department of Raw Materials and Waste Disposal Technology received the Berlin Barbara Prize for her master's thesis, and in 2021 the prize was awarded to Malte Gurgel from the IfM.
The Berlin Barbara Prize is awarded for an outstanding bachelor, master or diploma thesis in the fields of
- mining
- raw materials
- tunneling
- geosciences
awarded.
The GDMB sponsorship award for outstanding work by young engineers or scientists who make a constructive contribution to future developments in all GDMB departments was awarded to Moritz Ziegler of the AMT in 2021.
